As soon as I could hold a pencil in my hand I began to draw. My mother inspired me to express myself after taking notice of this gift she said was given to me by God. She took the little money she had saved when I was very young and bought me my first sketch book. Since then, this divine gift became an obsession of expressing every feeling I have ever felt about myself and those who have touched my life along the way.
The passion to paint didn’t arrive until I was in my early forties. Until very recently, I’ve always kept my work to myself to cope with the everyday tribulations that comes with being an imperfect human. However, recently through another divine intervention I began teaching myself different techniques to better my work as an artist to see how far I could take this gift that mother told me so long ago was given to me by God. During this stage, and for the first time in my life, I began to expose myself. I have always admired the fine art of: Salvador Dalí, Claude Monet and Giovanni Antonio Canal, also known as Canaletto. I see painting as a way to reflect the magnificence of God and his creation of everything that lives in His world.
