While the US Embargo and some travel restrictions remain in place, President Obama eased the restrictions on various categories of travel. Among these categories is People-to-People travel, which provides that U. S. citizens must travel with a company that organizes People-to-People tours and that is licensed by the United States Department of the Treasury.
African Ventures Inc has partnered with The Center for Cuban Studies in New York City, licensed to organize People-to-People tours and Miami-based, Marazul, licensed by the United States Department of the Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control.

So you will be traveling to Cuba legally.
