A Artist Profle

My father, my son and I represent three generations of
visual artists.

My own contemporary paintings are a refection of
personal values. Family, community and spirituality
are favorite themes manifested in my art as I integrate
elements of Afrocentric rhythm, movement and unity.
A variety of mediums and styles reveals my interest in
Egyptology, dance and mysticism.
A full-time artist since I was 17 years old, I continue to
support young artists because I understand their need for
mentors and programs that help them hone their creative
expression. My goal is to provide an outlet for young
artists to express themselves, and to enlighten them on
the importance of art in culture.
