Which state has the oldest African-American Museum?

Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia has the oldest African-American museum in the United States and one of the
oldest museums in Virginia. The Hampton University Museum houses a collection featuring more than 9,000 objects,
including traditional African, Native American, Native Hawaiian, Pacifc Island and Asian art; fne art; and objects relating
to the history of Hampton University.
