Support October Gallery and Black Art
Contributions to the Gallery are very important and appreciated tremendously. No matter how large or small your donation enables the Gallery to provide more exhibitions, education programs, and supports preserving and protecting the African-American art industry. October Gallery has been in business since 1985. That’s no small feat for a Black art gallery. The old folks used to say “Sometimes you just need a little push” (support). There are many ways to support the Gallery. Here are some.
General contributions of any size throughout the year supports the Gallery’s educational programs, artist’s assistance with supplies and community art giveaways.
Donations of all sizes make a difference. Supporting small African-American businesses is very critical at this time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
October Gallery has donated art and art related items to many organizations, schools and groups for more than 35 years. The Gallery has also donated funds to enable others to fulfill their missions and programs. The Gallery has sponsored and promoted numerous paint parties, children’s art events, art education video screenings, art book giveaways and senior citizen’s art seminars – all free to the public. We would like to continue this and other community programs and events. Your donation helps us to continue what we have started. Donate now $10 $20 $30 or more. Use this button. Thanks!
You can support October Gallery and Black art education by donating art or art related items. These gifts are included as part of our retail operation and helps the Gallery to raise funds to continue our many free art programs.
Donate Your Time
Little things mean a lot. There are always small duties and tasks that need to happen in an art gallery. Perhaps you might consider an hour or two a month to assist us at the Gallery with our children’s and senior’s art programs.
We have a solid history of supporting the African-American community that has supported us for 35 years – Greek organizations, public schools, small civic groups and many more. One of our biggest art donations was to Cheyney University, Cheyney, PA. We donated 170 framed original paintings and prints that can be viewed throughout the campus.
Please contact AL Todd at firstname.lastname@example.org or (215) 352-3114 to discuss specific gifts and/or donations.
October Gallery will not sell, share or trade our donors’ names or personal information with any other organization. The Gallery will not send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations.
October Gallery is not a non-profit organization.
