English-Pitts died Oct. 5, 2006, of breast cancer. She was 51.At her passing, she was surrounded by family: her husband of 21 years, Larry; son, Tom; and daughter, Michelle.Mrs. English-Pitts was born Feb. 14, 1945, in Southern California, where she grew up. She spent much of her free time at her family’s cabin in Big Bear.She moved to Nevada County in 1980, finding the artistic inspiration she had sought. She showed her paintings throughout Nevada County, including at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital.
