Elijah Minton is an emerging artist from West Orange, New Jersey. As a child, he always sketched with colored pencils for fun and progressed quickly as an artist in highschool. Although he enjoyed art, Elijah pursued a path in finance in college until he realized he had made the wrong career choice. 

In 2014 Elijah dropped out, quit his job and began pursuing art full time. After his best friend was murdered on his birthday in February of 2015, Elijah decided to paint a portrait of his deceased brother for his mourning mother which, in turn, led him to begin painting in acrylic. Elijah’s inspiration is derived from his desire to inspire everyone to pursue their passions. His mission is to evoke feeling or deep thought by providing viewers with images that portray his unique perspective on reality while also pushing his audience to think independently and critically.
