Olatunde Barber is and artist and a curator. Born into the house and studios of Nigeria’s foremost sculptor and painter Abayomi Barber on October 6th, 1975, in Lagos state, Nigeria.
He started attending the studios of the Abayomi Barber School of Thought in 1981, he obtained a BA in fine arts from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile- Ife, Nigeria in 1999 and an MA in visual arts from the University of Lagos, Nigeria in 2009.
As a painter Olatunde Barber specialises in landscape paintings done in the surealist style. A close look at his paintings reveil some hidden images in the foliage and sometimes in the clouds. It is these hidden images that he uses to convey the focal theme of his composition.
